Om Parvat is a mountain situated near Nabidhang. It is situated among the Himalayan mountain range in Dharchula district, Uttrakhand, India. The mountain holds sacred importance among the devotees of Lord Shiva. As per the live postures of Om Parvat, it parades an impression of ‘Om’ which is considered a holy symbol in Hindu religion.
Om Parvat is considered to be a part of both Nepal and India. That’s right, the mountain is disputed between Nepal and India because of the disagreement upon the execution of borderline between the two countries. The side of Om Parvat which gives an impression of symbol ‘Om’ is facing in India and the back side of the mountain lies in Nepal.
In Indian history, there exist only eight mountains with the consciousness of ‘OM’ Symbol, of which only one has been discovered till date. The mountain that has been discovered is known as Om Parvat. It has risen to an elevation of 6191 meters in the Dharchula district, Uttarakhand, India.
